How I use the iPad and why you should buy Twitter ads.

The madness of iPad has seemed to die down but hell I'm still talking about it.  I've never been an Apple OS owner so it's still really new to me.  Anyway,  so far my main use for the thing has to be what Herr Jobs and the Apple-troopers intended for it to be - a consumption device.
I'm falling for it hook line and sinker.  I read my news in the morning from the old media (NY Times, BBC), check my fantasy baseball teams and check my mail.   I bring the thing to work (but won't take it out on the train) sit it on my desk with my sweet-ass stand and wait for the Ballgames on MLB TV to show up.  That's it!
I sit there and stare at my shiney black square "new tv"
Pretty wild so far.

As for the Twitter thing,  the ads are coming and its going to work.  I think Twitter thought it would get a fucking-A offer for a sale,  it didn't happen and now they are going to go for monetization.  For as it long as its taken its a mildly underwhelming - sponored Tweets ala Google.  I do believe this will work and a some first movers in the space will have the advantage.  There are of course skeptics and I work with them.  They don't see the big eco-system of tweets and personal branding that is going on that will cause vanity ad purchases.  No one thought Facebook ads would work either and that's going well?
My advice?  Get in while the getting is good!

Eve of the greatest day of the year.

So tomorrow the first games of spring training start. Its the beginning of 7 months of baseball.  Nothing could make me happier in the world. We've got all the stories of players being in the best shape of their lives and rookies getting their shot.  It's just the renewal of the rights of baseball.

Every year in November I get depressed when baseball ends and the days get shorter and ever spring I bouce back with players.
Today I salute my fellow baseball nerds - we made it!  We made it through another winter.  Thank God, Babe Ruth and Ted Williams.

Oh and thank the MLB Network.
