Election night eve 2020

Citizens of the United States actively think their fellow citizens are their enemies.

Wow. We’re here. I’ve spent the last 10 or so days trolling my 600 closest friends on Facebook with a little counter programming just to get everyone off their coastal group think. We spent 4 years incredulous that con man tapped into grievances and became President of the United States. It broke lots of people and shattered the lie that is America. In some sense we should be grateful that our proverbial bull in the china shop showed up. Now we at least had to have a really good look at ourselves. Well, we’ve had our look and it isn’t looking good.

This is the last gasp of the boomers. It’s there last chance at wealth capture with their hero, Joe Biden. If Trump is the boiler room boomer, Joe Biden is the captain of the football team boomer. Well liked, bad at school, but willing to go with the powers that be to get where he needs to. He’ll give us back our lie for a little while.

My biggest concern is where are we going to go after this? There is no way everything will just bounce back to normal. We’re too far gone for that.

Citizen of the United States actively think their fellow citizens are their enemies.

Citizens of the United States actively think this election is an existential crisis for their way of life.

Citizens of the United States actively think that if their side loses they will need to become a new form of the resistence.

Citizens of the United States actively think whoever wins is not their President.

There is a real and honest concern that a war will come and sooner rather than later.
I don’t know how we get out of this, but we have to first start accepting that our fellow citizens have different opinions then ours, and they are as American as we are.
