Books, gotta read books – Two books I recommend

I just finished a tome called Postwar – Europe since 1945. It was really fantastic and I can’t recommend it more. It is historic and a bit dry but if you want to understand how we got to now, you have to understand the end of Europe and the ascension of the USA in the postwar era. And now it’s ending. The pax-Americana from 1945+ We’ll see what’s next.
I also just started Sapiens, admittedly a more famous book, but just 30 pages in, I’m hooked. The dude is an incredible writer. The time scale of humans being on Earth is so tiny that you sometimes have to laugh at how insignificant we are in the scale of time, and how much we’ve done in the last 1,000 years.
