Today, the good people of Alabama didn’t vote for a potential pedophile and general creep. Well, the white people voted for him (mostly) and the black people DID NOT.
It feels good to know that we had a respite for the forces of progress. I am not going to say everything is going to be better but at least for one day we can feel like folks have a moral center…
Politics have been INSANE in the age of Trump and the internet is trying to crush our souls with the constant drum of THIS IS THE WORST EVER no no, ITS REALLY THE WORST EVER… well, not that, but THIS IS THE WORST EVER. We are in the middle of a massive institutional failure and we should all be afraid… What about when the next Trump comes along… who isn’t incompetent… then we’ll really have problems.
I’m going to enjoy today, then start worrying tomorrow.
