I’ve been hammering on this point but I think its important. If you are working and don’t know why you are doing the work, don’t know the greater goal or are not invested in the work, you should stop working.
It used to be we did work for the sake of working. We worked in factories, in manufacturing and just did what we were told until the whistle blew, then we went home.
If you work like that now, you are replacable and almost unhirable. The goal for work should be to fine meaning for your work. If you can’t find it in yourself, start asking around – why are we doing this? If you don’t get an answer that you can get behind? Leave your job and find a job with meaning.
Find out the why of work and you’ll be much happier.
